ULI Philippines celebrated its 10th anniversary and launched the first ULI Library in Asia Pacific on 16 November.
Founded by Charlie Rufino guided by a mission to serve the Filipino public and private sector in understanding land expertise and educating urban development professionals. Over the course of a decade, ULI Philippines has grown its membership base with the mission of serving the Filipino public and private sectors with pragmatic land use expertise and education.
In the Philippines, the National Council is based in Manila and was established in 2012 with the support of the Founding Members – composed of twelve major developers: Araneta Group, Ayala Land, Inc., DMCI Project Developers, Inc., Eton Properties Philippines Inc, Federal Land, Inc., Filinvest Land, Inc., Greenfield Development Corp., Megaworld Corporation, Nuvoland Philippines Inc, Robinsons Land Corporation, SM Prime Holdings, NEO.
The event also officially launched the ULI Real Estate Library and Center, the very first ULI Library in the Asia Pacific and outside the United States. This is a landmark project for ULI in the Asia Pacific Region and is envisioned to be the information and idea exchange hub of real estate students and professionals in the country and in the region. The library is in partnership with with Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC), and De La Salle University (DLSU)
