Now in its fourth year, this prestigious interdisciplinary competition challenges student teams across the region to propose visionary yet feasible development solutions for a real urban site. By combining perspectives from real estate, architecture, planning, engineering, and business, the competition cultivates creativity, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of how responsible land use can shape better cities and communities.

This live webinar offers students and educators alike an inside look at what makes a winning proposal. It will feature Peter Hyland, Director of Urbis and Jury Chair of the 2026 ULI Hines Student Competition, alongside the ULI Asia Pacific Programme Team. Together, they will share insights on how to form effective cross-disciplinary teams, what juries value most, and how students can approach complex urban challenges with creativity and rigour.

The session includes a concise presentation outlining the competition framework, followed by an interactive fireside chat, live polls, and an open Q&A segment that invites participants to engage directly with the speakers and peers from across the region.
