    Xuchao Wu

    CDPQ

    Xuchao Wu is Manager, Sustainability at CDPQ, focusing on the real estate portfolio. Prior to this role, Xuchao played a pivotal role in leading Ivanhoé Cambridge’s sustainability efforts across the Asia Pacific region. His expertise lies in environmental sustainability, social impact, and the link between financial metrics and climate related risks. With a background in sustainable building design and management, Xuchao works alongside investment and asset managers to integrate sustainability criteria in the investment cycle, with a view to creating value from sustainability. Before joining Ivanhoé Cambridge, Xuchao worked at JLL for nearly a decade, overseeing its sustainability advisory business in Greater China and South Asia. His career also includes roles at design consultancies and educational institutions such as Arup and the National University of Singapore. Xuchao holds a master’s degree in building science from the National University of Singapore and was a UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office-funded Chevening scholar from 2003 to 2004.

    Che Min Peh

    Min is a climate and sustainability professional who enjoys solving complex problems and changing mindsets. At Marsh Advisory Asia, Min listens and analyzes client situations to identify fit-for-purpose solutions on their emerging climate-related risks, and then leads teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. She also delivers Board and C-suite training on climate and sustainability-related matters and represents Marsh at industry events and seminars. She is trusted by clients and colleagues to manage some of Marsh’s largest clients in Asia, as she is able to bring a strategic perspective to problem-solving while leading rigorous analysis, and subsequently bring that through to implementation with her ability to navigate complex organizations. These were developed from her time at top-tier management consulting firm Bain & Company and elite government agency Singapore Economic Development Board.

    Julie Manning

    LaSalle Investment Management

    Julie is the Global Head of Climate and Carbon for LaSalle, based in Chicago. She is responsible for leading the firm’s strategic efforts to drive and protect investment performance by decarbonizing and enhancing resiliency of LaSalle’s investment portfolios. She chairs LaSalle’s Global Sustainability Committee and Global Climate Risk Committee. Julie joined LaSalle in 1997, originally in the client accounting group as a controller, soon thereafter transitioning to portfolio management responsible for two global fund-of-funds totaling over US $1 billion of investor capital. She then worked as a portfolio manager in LaSalle’s North America custom accounts business, managing over $4 billion of client capital. Julie earned a Bachelor of Science in accountancy from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

    Hideki Kobayashi

    General Manager, Management Unit, Sustainability Management & Promotion Department, Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd.

    Hideki Kobayashi has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate sector. Hideki began his ESG career in 2018 as the head of the ESG office at a J-REIT AM. In 2021, he became General manager of sustainability at Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd., one of Japan's leading developers, where he mainly leads environmental and decarbonization efforts for development projects, standing assets, and communication and engagement with various stakeholders. He also serves as a member of various domestic and international initiatives, including as a member of the Expert Advisory Group for the SBT Building Sector Guidance and as a member of the GRESB Net Zero Working Group.

    Spenser Robinson

    Professor and Director of Real Estate, Central Michigan University

    Director of Real Estate at Central Michigan University. Co-Editor Journal of Sustainable Real Estate. Executive Committee ARES. I consult, research, speak and serve as an expert on related topics around Appraisal, Capital Markets, Entrepreneurship, Investment, Sustainability, and Valuation (http://robinsonexperts.com). Currently working on projects around climate risk in real estate markets public and private, carbon mitigation certifications, and ESG validation for the coming wave of SEC/FINRA regulation.
